 EA-IRMS

The EA and HT-PyrOH Series are a Continuous Flow (CF) solid and liquid sample preparation systems for IRMS interface, delivering the best specifications at the lowest sample sizes with innovative autosamplers options.

Available in combustion and pyrolysis modes, the EA-PyrOH systems are configurable for CF-IRMS to measure isotopic ratios at natural and enriched abundance in organic and inorganic samples of variable concentrations, offering significant advantages to analysts in a diverse range of application areas.
Oxygen isotopes in simple organic materials, sulphates, nitrates and phosphates are analysed using EA-PyrOH, applicable in environmental and hydrology studies. Sulphur, carbon and oxygen are used in combination for investigating geo and biological environments.

Hydrogen isotopic data has been used succesfully in animal migration, forensic and ecological studies, whilst Nitrogen is widely applicable in eco-system dynamics, agro-chemical and physiological investigations.

EuroVector Combustion and Pyrolytic Applications
In year 2000, EuroVector introduced a dedicated line of Elemental Analyzers (EA) and Pyrolytic Unit (PyrOH) to be interfaced with IRMS. Since then EuroVector have been regarded as innovation leader in Continuous Flow CF-IRMS. Present offering of this product line are:

EA3024-IRMS
Up to 1100°C for (NC),(S) in solids and (H) in water

Combustion (NC)
interfaced to Horizon IRMS

HT-PyrOH interfaced to EA

EA3028-IRMS
Up to 1200°C as above and (O) in water at 1150°C

HT-PyrOH
Located beside the EA, it includes the HT Furnace operating up to 1500°C for (O-H) Pyrolysis in solids. This Unit features user-definable temperature set, constant heating rate and accurate temperature profile in the entire hot zone. The new Furnace design limits the background increase and allows for up to 500 automatic samples processing before user intervention.

VectorSAS
This Zero Blank AutoSampler is used on top of the EA and
HT-PyrOH, uniquely allowing for instantaneous full purge and addition of samples during AutoRun.

Control Unit
A dedicated Control Unit is available to allow HT-PyrOH to work independently from EA. The resulting compact modular system improves actuation of EuroVector AutoSamplers, set pressures and oven temperature
for chromatographic separation of gases produced by Thermal Conversion, providing for well-shaped, baseline separated peaks, before entering IRMS for the most accurate results of δ‰.
